MEET THE EDITOR

Brett Cole has been working for I&T News since June 2011. Prior to moving to Sydney, he was the Korean correspondent for The Economist. Before The Economist he worked for Bloomberg in New York, Tokyo, Taipei and Sydney. In the 1980s and 1990s he was a freelance reporter in China and Vietnam and worked as a staff reporter for a Bangkok newspaper.

A proud graduate of North Bundaberg State High School, he lived on Thursday Island where his father was the harbour master and pilot for much of the Cape York during the benevolent rule of Johannes Bjelke-Petersen. Born in Christchurch, New Zealand he is a proud Kiwi and a fanatical All Blacks supporter.
